Impressive NBA Preseason Debut for Chris Youngblood
Chris Youngblood made a remarkable first appearance with the Oklahoma City Thunder during the NBA preseason, scoring 20 points in just 21 minutes of play as they defeated the Charlotte Hornets 135-114. His shooting was notably efficient, hitting 7-of-11 from the field and 5-of-8 from three-point range, while also contributing three rebounds and one assist from the bench.
Youngblood had previously showcased his skills in the NBA Summer League, where he averaged 20 points per game with impressive shooting percentages of 63% overall and 61.5% from beyond the arc. He had standout performances, including a game where he scored 21 points against the Indiana Pacers and another where he contributed 19 points in a win over the Brooklyn Nets.
Having signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Thunder, Youngblood is expected to play for the OKC Blue in the G League, although his strong showing could lead to a two-way contract, especially as the Thunder evaluate players for their final roster spot.
